Estimated shipping and delivery times

Estimated shipping times are located on each product page. Please note that these are only estimated shipping times and are subject to availability of products. If a product you have ordered is out of stock or on backorder, we will contact you with a new shipment date. At that time, you can decide to either keep the order as is, cancel the item, or cancel the entire order. We will do our best to keep you updated on issues that arise due to any back up in production. If there is a problem, we will alert you as soon as we are made aware that a problem exists. If you need to verify stock information and availability prior to placing your order, please contact customer service at info@selamatdesigns.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase! You can return your items within 10 days of receiving the order for a full refund on the merchandise cost minus a 20% restocking fee. We do not refund shipping charges. Please email us at info@selamatdesigns.com. If your item was sent via freight, you will be responsible for the return shipping charges.

Damages: Sometimes damages occur during the shipping process even though we do our best to deliver your item in perfect condition. All damage claims must be received within 48 hours of receiving the item. Please save all packaging and email us at info@selamatdesigns.com  to file a claim. We will arrange replacement or return of the item.

Product variation

Color note: Because every computer monitor displays color differently, we cannot be responsible for variations between the actual product color and how it is displayed on your screen. Descriptions of merchandise, including colors or shades, textures, and other features.  Selamat assumes no liability whatsoever for variance, including in colors or textures, minor imperfections, and/or for a product not meeting with customer satisfaction, absent a manufacturer-verified defect.
Credit Cards: In the event of a disputed credit card charge, which is ultimately found to have been legitimate or which otherwise finds, in whole or in part, in favor of Selamat, the customer shall be responsible for all attorneys' fees and costs borne by Selamat. The terms of any purchase from or dispute with Selamat shall be governed by California law, and any litigation arising out of such dispute shall be brought in the State of California, County of San Mateo, in the district governing the City of South San Franciso.

Shipping : How Does Selamat Shipping Work

LTL Shipping:

Selamat has a shipping minimum of $175 with a cap at 15% of total order (once above the minimum).
Palletized shipments will go LTL carrier (less than truck load). This is a basic service meaning:

  1. Delivery to a commercial warehouse with a loading dock
  2. Does not require special equipment (lift gate, special assistance, or installation)
  3. Staffed during normal business hours


Special requirements must be noted ahead of time and additional fees apply:

  1. If delivery warehouse is open only on specific dates and times a scheduled delivery is $75.
  2. If there is no loading dock a lift gate fee of $175 is necessary (in order to get the pallet from the truck to the ground)
  3. Delivery to a residence $75: calling to schedule delivery is mandatory otherwise pallets will be delivered at the curb.


Furniture and oversized items will need to travel via freight carrier (LTL). All carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 9-5. Freight companies will contact you via phone to schedule a delivery date and time that works for you.  Please know if you are taking a delivery at a residential address there are additional charges.  


We are no longer able to offer White Glove Delivery Service, however if you have your own carrier that can provide this delivery option for you, we would be happy to arrange it through them. A $15 per pallet fee will apply.


FedEx:
Accessories (lighting, bed/bath products, small items) ship via FedEx Ground and will not require a signature and may be left at a reception desk or doorstep. If you require expedited service such as 2nd Day or Next Day Service additional fees will apply.


Using a customer’s house carrier:
Selamat Designs is happy to use any customer house carriers. We require contact info and a Bill of Lading sent to us in advance of shipping. A pallet fee of $15 per pallet will be charged for customers using their own carriers. Please note: our San Francisco shipping hours are 9A- 5P Mon-Fri, and Cincinnati shipping hours are 7:30A-3:30P Mon-Fri.
All items that are in-stock and can travel via UPS or FEDEX ship within 3-7 business days and arrive within 3-5 business days from the ship date. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by email. Items ordered together might not arrive in the same box.
Having a party and need your product sooner? Just email us at info@selamatdesigns.cmom  and we'll check to see if the item can be expedited.

When your order is processed, you will receive an email containing a tracking number and confirming that your package has been sent.
Shipping is calcuated based on the weight, size, and distance of your items.  
Rates apply to the 48 contiguous states.  At this time, we do not offer shipping internationally or to Hawaii or Alaska.

What if the goods arrive damaged?
Damages: Sometimes damages occur during the shipping process even though we do our best to deliver your item in perfect condition.  All Selamat freight shipments are wrapped in Selamat Designs Shrink wrap.  If an LTL shipment arrives in anything but the branded shrink wrap please inspect closely.  

At the time of delivery, boxes should be inspected for suspected damage. If the condition of the box is such that damage is suspected, the box should be opened for further inspection before the driver leaves the premises. Suspected damage should be noted on the bill of lading at time of delivery and signed by the carrier. Damages to any of the cartoned or un-cartoned items delivered MUST be noted on the delivery receipt or bill of lading when you sign to accept the order. Failure to do so often results in refusal of a claim. Please retain all packaging materials for 45 days; this is required should the carrier elect to inspect the merchandise.
